Ag Department

Canoga Park's agriculture classes offer training in animal/plant sciences. In these classes, students receive hands-on instruction facilitated by a 1.5 living laboratory.  The agricultural classes offered at Canoga Park High School not only teach the students about agri-science and agricultural issues, but allow them to try their hand at contests like Public Speaking and Parliamentary Procedure. These and other components of the FFA and Agri-science encourage the students to have fun in school and reach their goals.

Every student enrolled in Agriculture automatically becomes an FFA member. Through this organization, the students have an opportunity to travel across California and to gain training in leadership development, public speaking, citizenship, and other valuable life skills.

The agricultural students pride themselves on being prepared for the future. The challenging and rewarding activities give the students an opportunity to learn valuable leadership skills, travel to new places, earn money, develop an understanding of agricultural issues, and become responsible young citizens. These opportunities assist the students in reaching their future goals.
